Pres. Bush's Mistaken Assertion that Condi Rice is the Most Powerful Woman in the History of the World

Pres. Bush has called Condi Rice the most powerful woman in the history of the world. We know he gets his facts wrong, now comes further evidence that facts inform opinion. Um, Georgie Porgie, I know you aren't terribly fond of opening up history books, but have you at least seen one of
many movies about this woman known as Queen Elizabeth I? How about Catherine the Great? Anyone care to nominate Catherine de Medici or Queen Isabella? Hell, even Nancy Reagan had more power than Condi Rice. What George W. Bush fails to understand is that there is a difference between holding the title and actually having the power. Bush himself loves to say he's the Commander-in-Chief despite the fact that he knows nothing about commanding. Condi Rice may have held the the title of Secretary of State, but since she was nothing more than a yes-woman blindly following all of Bush's delusions, you really can't say that she possessed the power associated with that position. I mean Elizabeth II holds the same title as Elizabeth I, but does she really have anything close to the same power? It really is not so much whether White Rice is really the most powerful woman in the history of world so much as whether she has used what power she does possess for good or evil. And is Condi Rice willing to be the first person in the Bush inner circle to ever accept responsibility for doing the wrong thing? So far, the answer is predictably negatory, Big Ben.

Unfortunately taking responsibility for one's mistakes in politics seems to mean paying lip service to one's responsibility while really blaming someone else.

I was in the airline business in the 90s, and went to a security conference in Chicago with bigwigs from the FBI and FAA, and the possibility of aircraft as weapons came up then...so anyone who was actually paying attention could imagine it..
