Product Review: Kissaluvs Fitted Cloth Diapers

I became a cloth diapering convert after my introduction to bumGenius! 2.0 One Sized Pocket Diapers. They were the perfect pocket diaper and had everything that I needed. But I still found myself interested in other types of diapers. Specifically, I was looking for a cloth diaper that would allow my daughter to really feel wetness, as I had read that this could conceivably translate into early potty learning. In addition, I liked the idea of letting my daughter roam the house in just a diaper and a t-shirt and being able to quickly feel when she was wet and change her promptly. So, I decided to try Kissaluvs Fitted Cloth Diapers.

Design

These fitted cloth diapers are sized, meaning that you need a bigger size as your baby grows. Size 0 includes a cut out for the umbilical cord, making them ideal for newborns. Size 1 will fit children 10-25 pounds, and size 2 will fit children 20-40 pounds. One design feature that I really like about Kissaluvs is their low rise. I feel like this allows them to have a trim fit while still staying incredibly absorbent for a fitted diaper. The diapers are made from cotton fleece. I was worried about using snaps since I was used to the velcro on the bumGenius pocket diapers. However, because of the elastic on the legs and waist, I found I was still able to get a good fit using snaps.

Absorbency

These fitted diapers are not waterproof, so they do require a cover if you are going to be out and about. However, my favorite use for them is around the house. I am able to feel when my daughter is wet and change her promptly. So the absorbency is just right for my purposes. If I do use them with a cover, I am still happy to report that I have no issues with leakage or absorbency, though you should always change cloth diapers 1-2 more times a day than you might change a disposable.

Care

I love that I can wash Kissaluvs with the rest of my diapers. I do a cold wash with All Free and Clear detergent to avoid staining, and then a hot wash to sterilize them. Afterwards I simply throw the diapers in the dryer. It couldn't be easier.
