The Sports Watchers is ready to kick this 2007 NFL Football season off. And when a new NFL season comes around, you know what that means...

Predictions!

So to start it off, I'll be giving you a break down of each division, and here is today's division of choice.

NFC North

4. (5-11) The Minnesota Vikings have a lot of the right pieces. They have a nice offensive line, a great run stopping defense, and an impeccable tandem of running backs in the backfield. The only problem is that none of that stuff helps the passing game...on either side of the ball! Seriously, I'm not sure what the General Manager of this team was thinking by coming into a season with Travaris Jackson at QB and not a wide receiver of note to run passing routes. So unless running backs Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor run the ball for 400+ carries and catch 200+ balls, I really don't see this team getting out of the cellar. That said, it will be fun to watch AP run wild against some of these other questionable run defenses that aren't nearly the caliber of the one he faces everyday in practice.

3. (8-8) The Green Bay Packers got Brett Favre to come back for another season. Doesn't really mean much in terms of the Packers' playoff chances, but it does mean that they will be competitive. I really liked Greg Jennings early season performance last year, and I think that he will be able to over come last season's rookie wall and be a big time wide receiver this season. Also, the defense of the Packers is very underrated. They have a much improved secondary from 2 years ago, with Charles Woodson and Al Harris on the outsides and Nick Collins playing some big time safety. They also have a great defensive front with Nick Barnet and AJ Hawk as linebackers and A. Kampman and K. Gbaja-Biamila holding it down on the defensive line. Look for Green Bay to push some good teams to the limit this year, and take care of the bad ones, a crowd for which they no longer belong to.
