The 2007 Primetime Emmy Nominations Can Make You a Star!

Every year you sit alone and cheer or moan (often both at the same time) as the Emmy Awards are aired on television. Boring? I thought so a few years ago. That's when I remembered an old college party a friend once threw to make the Oscar's a bit more fun. So I threw my own Emmy's Party a few years back and it was a hit with all my friends. Get creative and get famous! Here are a few super awesome party ideas that worked for me!

* Try lining the walk to your doorway with your own red carpet! Carpet can be expensive so try plastic table cloths which are super cheap at party stores.
* Tell your friends to wear their best (or even more fun -- worst) red carpet outfit. During the red carpet show, have a secret ballot vote for best or worst dressed. Trust me -- secret ballot this one. Nothing makes close friends more bitter than open criticism of the outfit the thought was fit for the real red carpet.
* Have some disposable cameras laying around and encourage everyone to become "paparazzi" during your party. At the end of the party, gather the cameras, develope the pictures, and post them on your website, blog, or Associated Content page (awesome way to make some money for your next party by the way).
* Print out the ballot of nominees below. Tell your friends to predict who will win. You can email this ahead of time with instructions and save some time (just be sure your guests bring it with them to your party). One point for a correct prediction. The winner is the star of the evening!
* If you are a drinking game type of person, the nomination predictions are a great time to introduce the shot glass!
