If I claim holiness, I’ve sinned in pride,
For I survive sultry behind closed eyes
In the fields of heaven, meaning women:

Andalucian, Toulousian, Caribbean, Korean,
New Orlean, Latvian, Polynesian, Ventian,
Oregonian, Kenyan, Russian, Iowan.

And in my impiety, I dare say,
I covet them all, not one is ugly,
A blemish is but a curve unexplored
And if I had time and cash to afford
A visit to every nation
Of magnificent female artistry
I would then start my journey
On bare feet, on glass, toward the center of
Venus.
