Rocky Acres Family Farm Bluegrass Festival: September 15, 2007

This is the first year for the Rocky Acres Family Farm Bluegrass Festival. Attendees can hear New England bluegrass bands, go pumpkin picking, and attend a pig roast BBQ.

Scheduled to perform are Backeddy Bluegrass, Dan Helman and Marking Time, Monadnock Bluegrass, and Wide Open Spaces.

Admission for just the music is $30 per adult and $5 for children age three to 12. Children two and under attend for free. Or, go for the whole experience and purchase a ticket which includes the meal, pumpkin picking, a tractor ride and the music: $40 per adult, $15 for children three to 12, and children two and under are free.

The Rocky Acres Family Farm Bluegrass Festival takes place at the Rocky Acres Farm in Sterling, Massachusetts. The event is held "rain or shine." For more information, call 978 365 3891.

7th Annual Samuel Adams OctoberFest: September 15, 2007

Enjoy music and beer at the 7th Annual Samuel Adams OctoberFest. Cost is $15 (need ID) and includes the first pint of beer, a commemorative beer mug and live entertainment. Enjoy the festive music played by Jolly Kopperschmidts German Band, and by Oberlaendler Hofbrau Band.

The 7th Annual Samuel Adams OctoberFest takes place from noon until 10pm on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from noon until 10pm at The Castle at Park Plaza, 64 Arlington Street in Boston, Massachusetts.

King Richard's Faire: through October 21, 2007

The King Richard's Faire is a "vivid recreation of a 16th century English marketplace at festival time." Enjoy the scenery, the costumed actors and entertainers, musicians, the food, and the artisans.

I love bluegrass and folk festivals. I wish I was in Boston. This sounds so fun.
