Review of Aaron's Rental Center in Logan, Ohio

Aaron's Rental Center is located on Hunter Street in Logan, Ohio. Aaron's is like so many other rents to own stores in America. You can rent to own a variety of products at Aaron's from furniture to appliances and video game systems. Aaron's

also offers jewelry and a lot of other items at ridiculous prices. The staff at Aaron's in Logan Ohio is as nice and helpful as you could expect from such a shady business as the rent to own business is.

I would not recommend that anyone attempt to rent to own anything from Aaron's. You will pay much more than the item is worth and you pay these outrageous prices for used merchandise. Aaron's is a deceptive company. They lead you to believe the item you rent is new, and it mostly never is new. Recently my mother found herself in a pinch, and needed a refrigerator immediately, she decided to rent one until she had access to a truck to go out and buy one. My mother specifically requested a new refrigerator unit. When Aaron's delivered it, they guaranteed she would love her new refrigerator. It is a lovely stainless steel model. However after it was brought into our home we learned the truth. This "new" refrigerator was scratched in six places, the crisper drawers were cracked and the best part is this refrigerator that was "new" had mold growing all through it. The idiots in the store stuffed dryer sheets under the crisper drawers, and in every nook and cranny possible.

I too am most disturbed about your article, Yes they do have used items, unless someone in your family asked for items at a cheaper rate then you would get used. My TV, Funiture and everything else I own was brand new because I requested "no used items". As far as the scratches are concerned well that could have happen by the delivery person's or persons and not the company. Then again, they say "OUr own Eye's are the beholder of what we buy" Sorry to hear about the situation you have had.

It's Aarons policy to take it back if it was that badly damaged and the customer hates it. They were legitimate enough to become publicly traded, etc., Far as the expensive cost, there's no qualifying, no credit check, all you need is income, friends, and a house. Aarons will finance anything to anyone...In most cases subprime lenders charge higher interest rates, but of course, when a company offers a lease option, it's insane.

afford to buy outright or they don't like the lack of service they get for paying the ultra low prices at Best Buy and such. At Rent A Center (prolly true with Arron's as well) you receive service normally within 24 hours including a loaner if your unit has to go to the shop. It's part of the business model used and we always keep our customers up and running. The service alone helps to sway the cost as well as the fact that if you decide you no longer want the item and payment, you can call us and we come pick it up...no harm, no foul. It is a cut throat market in this area and I'm sure that if Aaron's did what you claim then maybe they are falling behind, but they seem to be doing well competing in the area.

As one who rented New fridge, washer and drier at one point from them, I can say we did get new as we had intended to keep the units through the contract. My grandmother went to a nursing home a few weeks later and gave me her fridge, washer and drier. It was going to be a few days, but I called Arron's right away and told them when we'd need it till. They had no issues with it and waited to pick up their units until we had ours on the way. Maybe our experiences were different since we intended to keep the units where they knew from the start that your mom would be returning it. It makes more sense to keep new merchandise on hand for those who will rent to own the item. They should have stated so and most people in a bad situation will agree. I see that you have issues with the rent to own type of business from your other reviews. Maybe you are too biased and don't understand the real reasons that people come to these businesses. We offer people items that they either can't
