Most people never take the time to do any computer maintenance simply because they do not understand totally what is and how to do it. More importantly, they do not know how to do it properly. Maintenance can be overwhelming but if it is explained in simple to understand language, it is much easier to do.

I am a computer technician, and trust me I am paid decently for simple things that people can no doubt easily do them selves if they only knew how. First, I must state for the record that I do not set a fee for any computer services. I am paid what the client feels the job is worth, and I find most people wish to pay me a decent wage. I freelance at this for various reasons, but flexibility is the biggest reason. I do not wish to work for the big man and charge huge fees for just walking in a door.

I got my education at Corning Community College in Upstate New York, class of 2002. I can tear down a computer and stick it back together without any extra pieces left over. All kidding aside, I know my way around a computer and I can build them from the ground up.

It has always been my method to teach as I work on a computer in a home setting. This way the owner is learning how to do certain maintenance steps on their own computer; this will save them a bit of cash.

Basic maintenance of a computer is easy and most people just take it to the repair shop and forget about it. When the computer is fixed, they get the computer, pay the fees, and go on their merry way. Some of these things can so easily be done at home.

I will share computer information, maintenance, tips and hints that are pc related in my articles. I will even review software, hardware and all the cool little gadgets that available in this geek world. I will even share gifts ideas for the geeks, or geek wannabes in your life.

Within my articles, that I plan on writing I will talk computers in a way so that you do not need to be a geek to understand. I know the geek talk trust me, but I was a simple woman before I became a geek so I remain close to my roots. I am also a blonde-haired woman. Is that scary or what? Stick with me this should be a fun ride.

I hear ya bro. I myself am self-taught, and still learning. What your doing is a great idea, especially everytime I've googled how to do some obscure procedure, only to feel like I've walked in halfway on a conversation.
