After my first child was born, I understood all about the discomforts during pregnancy and by my third child I had become a pro. I have been pregnant a total of ten times but only three of my pregnancies ever made it to full term. I discovered what made a women feel the pain that she feels and what to do when you are in discomfort. Why did I choose to write this article? Because I feel that everyone should know the discomfort of pregnancy and what to do to ease it.

Nausea is a major pain when it comes to being pregnant. Nausea is also known as morning sickness but it can occur throughout the day. Nausea usually subsides after the first trimester but it has been known to follow some women throughout their entire pregnancy. There are a few things that you can do to help with this. Eating crackers or dry bland food may help to ease the discomfort. If you find that it is a problem that is making it difficult for you to eat or to keep your food down, your doctor can offer you a prescription that will help but the prescription may cause drowsiness. There may be other options for you and you will need to talk to your doctor about them.

Back pain will usually come in near the third trimester. Back pain may feel unbearable and it may make it uncomfortable for you to fall asleep or to get in a position that you are comfortable with. Back pain can occur in the upper and lower part of the back. I suffered from back pain even before I had ever gotten pregnant. I talked to my doctor who told me to place a rolled up towel in the lower part of my back. I also found that a back massager can come in handy in the home, if you don't have one, I would defiantly go out and purchase one as soon as possible. Laying on your side is also recommended for more reasons that just back pain and most doctors recommend that you lay on your left side.

Thankfully, all I ever dealt with was nausea. Your advice at the end of the article is right on. If you don't know what to do, or feel something isn't right; call the doctor. That is why you pay them to help "supervise" the pregnancy.
