The Simpsons: The Movie is a film that's like one long episode of the TV version. It's funny, sometimes laugh out loud so, but is so much like the televsion show that I don't even know why they made a movie at all. Why didn't they just chop it up and make a season's worth of The Simpsons? Better still, make a movie that actually breaks some ground? That would have been a film worth spending $11 on. Instead, I bought a ticket to see something I could have easily watched in my livingroom. Do the The Simpsons creators really need the cash that badly? Hey! Maybe it's the writers that do. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan - of the TV show. The movie? It's perfectly fine, but wait for the new season.
