Boston Globe Children's Book Festival

A free day of family fun awaits you and your toddlers and preschoolers at the Boston Globe Children's Book Festival. Hear readings by popular children's book authors, get books signed by children's book authors and illustrators, have your face painted, and more.

Meet Curious George

Another free family event to mark on the calendar is Curious George Day the main branch of the Boston Public Library.

Every monkey gets his or her day, and today is Curious George's Day. Between the movie and the PBS Curious George show, the popularity of that cute little monkey has been reborn.

Children can meet Curious George and have their picture taken with him. There will also be some monkeying around with arts and crafts. In the midst of all this excitement, kids can hear some stories. Children need to be accompanied by an adults (of course!)
