Two Easy Face Paint Recipes to Complete Your Child's Halloween Costume

All you have left to do is paint your little ones face and the Halloween costume will be complete. But wait, your husband forgot to stop by the store on his way home to pick up the face paint. No worries, you can make face paint with ingredients that you may already have around the house.

Face paint recipe #1

1 t. Cornstarch
½ t. Water
½ t. Cold Cream
Food coloring

Combine cornstarch and water in a small dish. Mix until smooth. Stir in food coloring and cold cream. Repeat recipe to make another color.

Face paint Recipe #2 ( Before applying this recipe, spread child's face with a thin layer of petroleum jelly to prevent irritation and to make removal easier.)

2 t. Crisco
1 t. White flour
5 t. cornstarch
3 Drops glycerin
Food coloring

Mix Crisco, flour and cornstarch until smooth. Add glycerin for creamy consistency. Add food coloring. Repeat recipe to make another color.

Note: When applying, avoid the eye area. Mix makes enough for one child.
