Tell Me You Love Me is a new drama in the HBO syndicate first airing on September 9. It is interesting and different than most shows on TV. This show is about four couples at different stages in their relationships and how sex, love, marriage and children have affected all of them. The four couples include Jamie and Hugo, the newly engaged couple trying to answer all the questions you must face before committing your life to just one person. Then there is Carolyn and Palek, a couple in their mid-thirties who are unable to conceive after one year and trying. Then there is David and Katie, a married couple with two young children who have not been intimate for over a year and are dealing with what that means as a married couple. The fourth couple is a therapist - to all of the above-mentioned couples - and her husband. They are in their sixties, and their relationship shows the love and intimacy couples have after decades together. But they are also not without their own struggles.

The show is very unlike other shows in that there is very little music which allows to you really focus on the silence in the shows and listen to the emotion from the characters without being clouded with dramatic timed music. All of the characters are only tied together though their therapist May at this point in the show. I am wondering if a new dimension will slowly be added to the show as we explore how these couples are tied together by more than just their couple's therapist.

I have really enjoyed this show and it is a show I think most people can relate to. You can see yourself in one of the couples on the show and I believe everyone knows someone like the couples on the show as well. I love shows that I can relate to helps me feel more connected with the characters and relate to what they are feeling. While the show is very sexually explicit, and at times I felt I was watching soft core pornography, the graphic intimacy between the couples truly helps you to relate to how they are feeling and truly feel their love for one another.
