Fantasy Football 2007: Top Running Backs for Keeper or Dynasty Leagues
1. LaDainian Tomlinson- Age 28
Tomlinson should be the top running back in any fantasy league regardless of whether it is a keeper league or not. He is 28 years old but has shown no signs of slowing down. If you have him in a keeper league consider yourself extremely lucky and do not trade him based on age as he should still have several great years left in the tank.
2. Steven Jackson - Age 24
Steve Jackson had a incredible 2006 and is only 24 years old. He will push Tomlinson for the top spot on this list and it can be argued that he deserves the top spot with his age being 4 years younger.
3. Joseph Addai- Age 24
At the age of 24 and getting full time carries for the high powered Colts offense, Addai figures to be a top running back for years to come.
4. Reggie Bush- Age 22
Bush is an incredible athlete and should get better as the years go on. He is already a top fantasy running back at the age of 22. Expect him to put up the most fantasy points of anyone on this list over the next 10 years.
5. Laurence Maroney- Age 22
Maroney is one of the great young running backs in the league and will benefit from playing for a good team in the Patriots. Teams have to respect Tom Brady and that should open some running lanes for Maroney over the next several years.
6. Adrian Peterson- Age 22
Peterson is just coming into this league and will need to stay healthy to put up great numbers. If healthy, Peterson is a lock to be a top fantasy running back over the next several years.
7. Frank Gore- Age 24
The only reason Gore is not higher on this list is his injury plagued past. He is only 24 and has already led the league in rushing. Enough Said.
8. Larry Johnson- Age 27
