You ever get tired of talking to someone, but you have had your number for so long that changing it is not an option? Alternatively, maybe you have an ex-partner who just cannot seem to stop calling. Of course, there are always those annoying bill collectors and websites that make entering phone numbers mandatory to complete some registration process.

No matter the case, it seems that your phone number exists is spread throughout the world and there is nothing you can do to keep the phone from ringing by some unwanted caller. That is, until now.

GrandCentral was founded in late 2005 by Craig Walker and Vincent Paquet, who had worked closely together for years while running internet telephony pioneer Dialpad Communications. After Dialpad was acquired by Yahoo, Walker and Paquet began to entertain the idea of enhancing communications platforms for the billions of multi-phone users across the world.

Three numbers to dial, three passwords to enter, three inboxes to check. They knew that people shared those frustrations and that there had to be a better way. Thus, GrandCentral was born.

GrandCentral provides a web-based voice communications platform that helps you manage all your phones and phone numbers through one simple interface. You get a single phone number that forwards to all of your phones, giving you one number for life. It's quite simple. Get one phone number, access the GrandCentral website, enter all your different phone numbers and from that point, give out just one number that will ring to all phones.

Is this just another form of call forwarding? In one form or another, call forwarding has been around and advanced upon in a myriad of ways. GrandCentral takes the idea of call forwarding to the next level. Through the website, the phone numbers of different callers can be set to direct to specific phone or phones. You can block numbers from ever reaching any of your phones. You can record calls real-time. If you are at a computer as a call comes in, you can log on to the website and listen to the voice mail as its being left.
