Apparently if you're pregnant you're supposed to dress yourself in oversized t-shirts and ponchos because there are no fitted clothes that will accentuate your adorable pregnant belly. I came across a product recently that I thought was a great idea. Belly Sock is a product that you can wear throughout your pregnancy that allows you to wear a lot of your old pre-pregnancy clothes without showing too much.
The Belly Sock looks a lot like a tube top (Don't worry- that's not the way to wear it). A smaller tube of stretchy fabric is designed to be worn around the belly section and extends past the waistband of your pants. The purpose is where your shirt ends, the Belly Sock will extend a bit lower and cover what you don't want people to see. As a result, you can continue to wear your own clothing because you don't have to be concerned with it being too short on you and not covering your growing belly.
The Belly Sock is made of cotton spandex and comes in a variety of colors. It's also a great way to add an extra layer to your belly in the cooler months without having to wear multiple shirts. The layered look is in style right now so the Belly Sock is really the perfect (And affordable) addition to your maternity wardrobe. You'll look stylish and comfortable right through to the end of your pregnancy.
The Belly Sock also comes in a nursing variety. This article is designed to cover you up when you're breastfeeding so nursing mothers won't be exposing yourself in public and you won't need to cover yourself with a bulky blanket. It has the same concept as the traditional Belly Sock and the fabric is just as stretchy and soft. It won't irritate yours or your baby's delicate skin. The product has no hooks, buttons, zippers or ties on it. You simply slip it over you and your belly and you're ready to go.
