There is a definite lack of maternity clothing on the market right now. There are very few companies that are completely dedicated to providing stylish and affordable maternity wear to pregnant women, and the stores that have a section dedicated to maternity clothing really don't offer much.

Apparently if you're pregnant you're supposed to dress yourself in oversized t-shirts and ponchos because there are no fitted clothes that will accentuate your adorable pregnant belly. I came across a product recently that I thought was a great idea. Belly Sock is a product that you can wear throughout your pregnancy that allows you to wear a lot of your old pre-pregnancy clothes without showing too much.

The Belly Sock looks a lot like a tube top (Don't worry- that's not the way to wear it). A smaller tube of stretchy fabric is designed to be worn around the belly section and extends past the waistband of your pants. The purpose is where your shirt ends, the Belly Sock will extend a bit lower and cover what you don't want people to see. As a result, you can continue to wear your own clothing because you don't have to be concerned with it being too short on you and not covering your growing belly.

The Belly Sock is made of cotton spandex and comes in a variety of colors. It's also a great way to add an extra layer to your belly in the cooler months without having to wear multiple shirts. The layered look is in style right now so the Belly Sock is really the perfect (And affordable) addition to your maternity wardrobe. You'll look stylish and comfortable right through to the end of your pregnancy.

The Belly Sock also comes in a nursing variety. This article is designed to cover you up when you're breastfeeding so nursing mothers won't be exposing yourself in public and you won't need to cover yourself with a bulky blanket. It has the same concept as the traditional Belly Sock and the fabric is just as stretchy and soft. It won't irritate yours or your baby's delicate skin. The product has no hooks, buttons, zippers or ties on it. You simply slip it over you and your belly and you're ready to go.

I have found those new stylish extra-long shirts and tank tops to be priceless in pregnancy! I get one that is one size larger than I usually wear and they all seem to be perfect. They are soft, stretch comfortably over my belly, and even cover the whole thing! The trendier stores are always selling them.

Ok - Ignore my previous comment. I found their website. It's not about wearing your pre-pregnancy pants. But, you can wear pre-pregnancy tops. I like the nursing belly sock.

I'm not sure I understand the concept. So, you would wear your usual pants, not zipped and buttoned and the belly sock would cover up the waistband AND keep your pants from falling down - lol. It seems strange. But, maybe I am misunderstanding something. I'm going to have to find a picture.
