Most of us know Chef Gordon Ramsay from his show on the Fox network, Hell's Kitchen. However, this fall Chef Ramsay is not going to be giving restaurants away but turning around failing restaurants in one week, for his new show on Fox, Kitchen Nightmares. Is it based on his show in UK with the same name, it is one of the UK's biggest hits. It is like a nanny 911, but for kitchens. In each episode he will going to restaurant in crisis, whether it is because of bad cooks or a lazy waiting staff and whips them into shape (or they quit). Showing viewers just how stressful and hard it is to run a successful food business. I know a few different people that own and run a restaurant; the majority of them also do the cooking, and it is not easy.

Now, I loved all of the Hell's Kitchens, and I am looking forward to this new show. Chef Ramsay's is sure to be cussing up a storm; whoever has to bleep him out, is going to be busy. In one of the commercials for kitchen nightmares, shows Chef Ramsay yelling at a cook (I think), calling him pig and that he works like a pig. Now that cannot be good for that restaurant, even after Chef Ramsey's has fixed it up I would still think twice about going their after hearing that. The premiere show is on wed 9/19, at 9/8c. (check your local listings) In this episode, Chef Ramsay will be at an Italian eatery in Babylon, NY.

You may wonder what makes Chef Ramsay think that he is the man to help these restaurants. Well, he is a multi-award winning chef and all three of the restaurants he owns in London hold Michelin stars. Some Ramsay fans are hoping to see the softer side of this foul-mouth chef, since most reviews of his UK version say he shows his soft side occasionally. On this show I hope to see chef Ramsay actually do some cooking, I know he must be a good cook since he has many successful restaurants, but it would be nice to see do a service.

There are not any cast members listed other than chef Ramsay himself, but you know it has to take a lot more people than Chef Ramsay to put this show on. From what I have seen in the commercials, he is going to need bodyguards. Some people just cannot take that kind yelling in their faces without snapping.

Takeaways
  • The premiere show is on wed 9/19, at 9/8c.
  • It is like a nanny 911 but for kitchens.
