Why is it essential to use the process of email marketing to succeed with your online business? Only a few consumers make a purchase on their first visit to a website. It is said that eighty percent of sales on a website come from prospects who have been contacted by email. Consumers will only buy things from people who they like and know they can trust. A slogan that is crucial to success in marketing is "Like me, trust me".
It is imperative that you get your prospects and website visitors to know, like and trust you. You can operate a good, informative website that includes your profile and a photo of yourself but that is not good enough. In order to make sales, you must get in touch with your visitors through the email process.
One way to conduct effective email marketing is to run an email list on your website. Please do not make the mistake of running an email list with no substance behind it. The first thing you must do is make sure the people joining your mailing list are members of your target audience. For example, a few people who are looking for something that you do not sell could accidentally come upon your site and join your email list just for the sake of it. You do not want to waste your time writing and trying to sell your products or services to them.
To run an effective email list, you must let your visitors know why they are joining. Let them know they will receive a free gift that is likely to interest them or a free sample pertaining to a product you are selling. It is a good idea to encourage your visitors to complete a brief survey to be eligible to receive a free sample. The survey can give you good insight on how you might convince your visitors to buy your products or services. If you want to provide a survey form on your site, you will need to create a table.
