Western Montana is filled with water wonders that visitors and locals can enjoy. In fact there are dozens of rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes scattered in connected systems from the top of the state to the bottom of the state. With all of these wonderful water features Western Montana also has a lot of really nice beaches that should not be missed. This article will cover a few of the prettiest beaches in the state.

Western Montana Beach Option Number One: Seeley Lake, Montana

Seeley Lake is one of the many lakes in a water shed system in the Swan Valley. There are many private beaches that are available on this lake as well as a couple of state access sites and beaches that visitors can use. The elevation at the Seeley Lake Beach is 4,000 feet, and in the summer the temperature remains a moderate 78-90 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition to having a nice, clean, sandy beach, Seeley Lake also offers drive in restaurants, recreational vehicle rentals, and local charm and wildlife. Seeley Lake is close to a number of other lakes including Salmon Lake, Placid Lake, Swan Lake, Elbow Lake, Harper’s Lake, and Flathead Lake. Special events are also planned on this beach throughout the year, and visitors should contact the Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce for a schedule of events. Western Montana Beach Option Number Two: Whitefish Lake Beach

In the north-western corner of the state is a small town called Whitefish. This town is traditionally known for its great skiing in the winter, however, it is also the home of Whitefish Lake, one of the most scenic locations in Western Montana. They have sandy beaches, a luxury in Montana, as well as landscaped recreation area, Rocky Mountain frontage, and restroom facilities.
