Is Big Brother 8 Rigged?

How Far Will CBS Go for Ratings?

Big Brother is one of CBS's highest rated shows. The show follows 13 houseguests as they lie, scheme and do whatever else it takes to be the last man or woman standing at the end of three months. The winner is rewarded with a $500,000 cash prize.

This season, as in seasons past, there are a few houseguests that stand out, but none so much as the Donatos, Dick Donato and his daughter Danielle.

Danielle entered the house first, but her father came in a short while after in what CBS was calling a "twist" in the game. A few of the houseguests were going to have the misfortune of having someone from there past enter the house and compete against them. No one in the house was supposed to know about this twist.

Over the course of the last few months "Evel" Dick, as he is known to his friends, has shown the world exactly how evil he really is. He has verbally and physically assaulted other players. He has attacked the houseguests' sexual preferences, their spiritual beliefs and their families and CBS has stood by and watched him do it all, but why? Are the ratings so important that you would allow one man to put you in the position where the network could possibly be sued for a whole host of things? The answer to that question is obviously yes, because ED continues to play the game with the same malicious, hateful, childish behavior that he has since the beginning, but as the weeks go on you start to see that things aren't exactly what they seem.

There are a number of sites on the web dedicated to Big Brother. On these sites you can read blogs and recaps about what's going on in the house. These bloggers and BB enthusiast subscribe to the live feeds and report every word and action on their site.

Throughout those sites everyone seems to be all a buzz about how Dick and his "innocent" daughter Danielle are playing the game, but there is also talk of blatant cheating by ED and allegations that the game is possibly rigged in order for ED and his daughter to stay in the house longer or possibly when the whole game.

That thing about the blue ball really ticked me off b/c you are right that they usually replay the game if something happened out of the players control. They virtually ignored her as she pleaded! She kept playing b/c she was hoping she could still win, but she was flustered and pleading with them. That was real weird. Well ED won and I saw him and his daughter on the fox reality Really awards acting like best friends. I don't believe they got over their differences that fast, so I really think they were not as hateful towards each other as they pretended to be. Sure made CBS look good though! Bringing an estranged father and daughter together. How sweet.... except they are both crazy!

It's obvious that the game was rigged in favor of ED & Daniele. Big Brother condoned & encouraged this behavior, so I feel that Big Brother deserves a law suit. Zach & Jameka should team up and sue Big Brother. They were cheated out of their money.

What have we learned from this season children? Bad behavior is rewarded. Cheating IS permitted. If you are playing a game with someone and they change the rules on you, well, that's OK, too. If you want to physically do something to someone like......hm, pour a drink over someone's head when they have done nothing to you, that's A-OK. In some people's real life that would be called abuse or assault, but in our reality, it's perfectly OK. If someone blows smoke in your face and threatens your life, don't worry, it'll be all right. Bullying if permitted also. But don't you dare eat food when you are supposed to be on slop. Shame...shame! Right CBS, you've lost one dedicated fan here. Don't look for my support. This was their 8th season, there should be no question about the rules, no outside help, whethere from a plane going by or from a letter. Whether the information is fresh or weeks old.

I275South, have you ever watched the show before? It has ALWAYS been like that. They didn't change it for this one season. I don't understand your argument

If none of you liked the way the show turned out then why did you continue to watch it? Then you come here and vent which then took more time out of your day. CBS whether planned or not ROCKED with the ratings and will continue with the show...every bit of what happened this season made you keep coming back or you would not know the details.. so if you are upset then dont continue to watch and move on with your life! I personally cant wait until the next season and was very pleased with the outcome. Zach had no business winning anything since he is the one who rode Dick and Dani to make it to the end ... The winners won so get over it and move on! GREAT JOB CBS and Dick and Dani!

The main culprit is producer Allison Grodner. She ruined the season and should be replaced if there is to be a show next year. I was sick to watch Julie Chen go on national television to happily give the prize money to a abusive man and his Asian-hating daughter. Shame on Allison Grodner Productions and the writers and editors there.

One thing I will never understand is how CBS thought that a Daughter and a father-even if they were not speaking with each other(which we know by their own confession that they were speaking)would not know that the other was going to be in the show? They have Vincent-in the same family speaking with n both. They had to have made advanced plans-before leaving for three months-which would make it impossible for family not to know about it- they had both planned on being on previous shows-togeher as a pair. Oh, Oh, CBS-Who do you take us for????Honestly-you are trash in my book-So, why should I be surprised by any of the stunts you pulled?

There were many outrageous, abusive, and totally unacceptable behavior by Dick and Danielle-to mention a few. Watching the 24/7 feeds-which by the way-in order to watch the others you had to watch Dick and danielle. 1)A Father and Daughter talking about the most inappropriate subjects and porno-like language with each other-references made about hgs-private parts and both laughing as two buddies drunk in a bar. 2)One of the competitions where the producer had the hgs strip naked-father and daughter naked near each other. So many others disgusting scenes-I want to vomit. to think that this station represents America-is the same as to say that the so called AP(Eric) represented America's choice. Not true! A few unscrupulous ugly Americans does not constitute America!!!!!

I am so shocked that after all the articles, the complaints, and much evidence showing that the viewers wanted answers- CBS continued to ignore us and unleashed the most vile display of human behavior down our throats-whether we wanted to see it or not. Both Dick and Danielle are unbelievable rude, devoid of consciousness, psychopaths and at times dangerous. I kept asking my husband-how can that be? OMG! has CBS lost its mind to let a trashy producer trash a good show and torn it into a circus? I would like for 60 Mnutes to do an investigation on CBS's outrageous yellow journalism, tabloid type of behavior. Having said all that-I fear for the people who will have to deal with both evils-out there-now with money more power and fame in their hands.Let it be on CBS's head-if anything happens. I hope women's organizations will bring a law suit against this station-so big as to force a closed down, SHAME ON YOU JULIE CHEN-In my book your phony smile is suited for a Jerry Springer sh
