Oklahoma State Fair and Centennial Expo

September 13-23, 2007 Cowboys and rodeos, the midway, games, live entertainment, music, livestock--there are all part and parcel of the Oklahoma State Fair. And while the Sooner State's fair is at once much like any state's fair, it is also uniquely Oklahoma. The fair celebrates everything that is positive about Oklahoma, including its Western and frontier heritage.

Come to the Oklahoma State Fair for all that mentioned above, and for the square dance exhibitions, the Plains Indians Dancers, the Stick Horse rodeo, the trick roping, Wild West stunt riders and many more things with a western flair. Friday, September 21 will feature the PRCA Extreme Bulls with Craig Morgan as musical entertainment. Saturday, September 22 will have the PRCA Rodeo with Gary Allan as the musical component on Saturday with the Rodeo finals on Sunday, September 23 followed by a concert by the Oak Ridge Boys. These are certainly not the only things western about the fair, but they are highlights of what fair visitors can expect.

Musical entertainment throughout the fair has something to offer just about any music palate. Loverboy, Con Funk Shun featuring Michael Cooper and Felton Pilate, Trent Tomlinson, and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas are just a few of the musical offerings. There'll be a two-day National Elvis Extravaganza as well as regional Mexican music, and centennial rodeo opry. All of these concerts are free to attend; just the price of a gate admission will get you in for some musical enjoyment. The concerts begin each evening at 7:30PM.

In addition to the PRCA events at the fair, other featured events include Disney on Ice present Princess Wishes, Oklahoma's Strongest Man Contest, Extreme Monster Truck Nationals, and Centennial Expo Supercross Pro-Am Championships. As you can see, there is something here for everyone and probably more than one event you'll want to enjoy.
