The hit series Dancing with the Stars returns for its Fall premiere Monday, September 24 at 8pm eastern time and 7pm central time on ABC. The stars have finally been announced, and we are all eager to see what this season has in store for us!

During it's first week on TV, we the fans will see three straight nights of competition and fun! Yes, you heard me right! But, that's not all! This season there are twelve celebrities, six men and six women, making this the largest cast to date. There is also a showdown between the sexes during the first week - each gender dances on a separate night. You see, on the first night, the women take the floor. They will either dance the cha cha or fox trot. On the following night, Tuesday, the men show their stuff with the same dances as the ladies. Then, sadly, Wednesday will mark the end of the road for one couple who received the lowest scores and votes.

In case you missed the unveiling of the twelve stars this year, they include: Mel B from the Spice Girls, actress Sabrina Bryan, racing champion Helio Castroneves, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, 90210 star Jennie Garth, model Josie Maran, soap actress Cameron Mathison, fighter Floyd Mayweather, the talented Wayne Newton, Marie Osmond, Albert Reed, and Jane Seymour.

I met Jane Seymour back in the summer when she was promoting her artwork in a local gallery. She told me she had been asked to do the show, but she did not reveal at that time if she accepted or not. My family and I agreed that if she did decide to compete this season, we would pull for her the entire season! She is being paired with Tony Dovolani, who is a familiar face on the show.

We viewers can cast our votes by phone, text message, and online at abc.com.

After this premiere week, the show will air each Monday with the results show the following night.
