Save the PT Cruiser

My name is Mary Koch and I am a PT enthusiast. My car is everything to me. Like 1000's of drivers all around the globe, we are trying desperately to be heard in our cry to saving our beloved car from it's rumored demise. It has been said that our car will morph into something
unrecognizable by the PT lover. That retro is dead or a replacement has been found.

Nothing will ever come close to us that love our cars. I am talking about the many forums where people come together to meet other drivers like themselves who want to talk and learn about their PT Cruiser. I am a proud member of three forums. The national PT Cruiser Club, The PT alliance, Pt Cruiser World. I post there everyday and learn about my car from other experienced drivers. They are the kindest, most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. There is a bond between all drivers of PT cruisers. We absolutely love the car. We want talk about our car as much as humanly possible. It is difficult to do this without the forums.

We also have the common interest of "modding" out our cars. Adding modifications to them, from the smallest items to large expensive ones. We support many vendors and installers and the dealerships/ Chrysler who sell our fine car. When we first buy the car, we love how it drives, the comfort of it- unbelievable- but then we are struck with Mod Fever. Each mod we buy, we are so proud of. We go to our forums to show off our new mod. Everyone is so happy for us.

Then there are the Rallies, Regionals, Meet and Greets, various functions of PT drivers who all come together to show off there cars. This is a world wide phenomona. We have the greatest time, meeting our new and old friends. We are like family. There are contests and the venders show up and mods are purchased on the spot and installed. Cars are admired and cleaned continually throughout the few days of the meetings. A light show with cars lit up in an amazing rainbow of color and music. Trophies are awarded at the end of the meet.

PT cars are the ugliest things on the road. I applaud Chrysler for finally considering getting rid of that excuse of a car. I have no idea what could possibly be appealing about that hearse like excuse of a minivan crossover car.

Great article. I've never driven a PT Cruiser, but I've seen them around town and thought they were one cool looking automobile.
