The Oprah Show started its new Fall season this week with a sprinkling of the infamous, famous and of course stories that pulled at America's heart-strings. This diva seems to have a formula for success that keeps everyone coming back. And, it appears that nothing will truly change unless she retires or gets a new spiritual epiphany. So, here's a synopsis of what the future holds.

(The Set) - Oprah has left the big couch for the big chair. She has several on the set and at an angle so she faces her interviewees. Also, interviewees now have a bit of space from each other. This will allow her easy access in order to ask those hard questions.

(Her Look) - She's added on a few pounds and its being offset with curly hair pulled back into a pony-tail. It's a style that I like because the curls mirroring her face soften it and we all know she loves to wear a pony. Most likely, she'll let it lose from time to time as she did last season. Her clothing appears to be the usual tasteful attire that changes with the theme of the show. Today (09/14/07) is a Vera Wang style show. So, expect Oprah to look impeccable in a designer pant suit or dress plus accessories.

(The Stories) - She started this week out talking to the children of 9-11 and mixing it up with Mary Winkler (the wife who killed her pastor husband) and the O.J. Book controversy. Although she asked her questions in the different scenarios in a matter-of-fact way, Oprah's true feelings always come through to her viewers. She often echoes the sentiments of the average woman, but tries to bring us all in the end to a higher way of thinking.

(The Basic Formula) - Oprah's producers tend to bring us a basic formula throughout the week. They give us hard hitting stories sprinkled here and there with a day of fashion, health and celebrity. It's a way of getting the world to listen to the serious issues without totally depressing them. It's obvious that this is not going to change. So get ready for more make-overs, Dr. Oz and John Travolta.
