Fall TV's Most Reliable Returnee - Baseball's World Series Extravaganza

Tucked unobtrusively in the midst of the Fall TV scheduling is this year's Major League Baseball Playoffs and World Series. Baseball post season play begins on Wednesday, October 3 when three of the four division series will hear the call to "play ball". One of the two American League Division series will get started on the following day, Oct. 4. All of these Division Series Games will be shown on TBS or its sister network TNT. The National League Championship Series will be played out beginning on Oct.11 on TBS with its American League counter part starting up on Oct. 12. on Fox Network. Finally when the end of the season elimination games have been completed, Americans can sit back and watch the 103rd playing of Baseball's World Series Extravaganza to be broadcast on Fox. There is a lot of serious baseball to be played out in the month of October and as always America's national pastime has the potential to be Fall TV's most reliable returnee.

1. You Know What You Get. Fall TV baseball is as reliable as it gets. Nine men wearing like uniforms will take to the baseball diamond and for nine innings they will do their level best, to keep nine other men from hitting and running with enough authority to put runs on the scoreboard. Those who follow the game may get involved in the individual efforts of players on the field, at the plate or on the pitchers mound, but even those who haven't watched baseball since last fall can get into the "show" without much difficulty. This is not a Fall TV show where there has been major change in the plot. Oh the characters may alter, in fact you are likely to see a whole new cast but the plot will remain delightfully the same. With post season baseball, you won't tune in wondering whether or not this is the kind of show for you, you will know in advance what you are going to get.
