Once you have your account and everything up and running, the next thing to do is to find out what to sell. If you already have a business outside of Ebay, all you have to do is start listing the items you already sell on Ebay. But if Ebay is your first business, then deciding what to sell comes down to finding a source of products outside of Ebay that you can obtain for cheaper than what you can sell them for on Ebay. That is a process that requires your own work, however it is generally advisable that you stick into areas you have expertise with. This will allow you to better know what products you are dealing with and you will already know what products to look for when you are trying to find what to sell.
Another important thing to take into consideration is the costs of doing business on Ebay. Before selling anything, it is important to take note of all the Ebay fees (listing, selling, etc), as well as the Paypal fees and the shipping fees that will be incurred. Do calculations and make sure that you will be ending up with a profit before you start going gung-ho and listing anything and everything on Ebay.
