Scramble the letters of a word. Stick an extra letter into those letters. Have somebody figure out the word.

That's the idea on GSN's That's the Question.

The first round starts with a too up question to determine who gets control of the first board.

Beneath the scrambled word, there's another question waiting to be built. When a word is guessed correctly, the added letter drops into the question wherever it is repeated.

The round then begins. Contestants are given a blank question. The player in control buzzes in to stop the yellow selector and a question is then asked. The answer to the question will have all of its letters scrambled and an extra letter in the scrambled letters.

The extra letter is the one that will drop into the selected spot if the correct answer is given. If the correct answer is not given, control of the board goes to the other player.

Scrambled words are constantly given and letters are dropped into the question. When a player finally knows the question, he can buzz in. The player then must say the question correctly.

In the second round, players are not given the answer to the question they must fill in, but that is included in the fill-in process along with the question.

Points are given for questions figured out. No points are given for the letters that go into a question. Points increase with each round.

If a contestant misses a question or answers incorrectly, the other contestant then has control. The player with the least points starts control of the board every round.

Here's an example of a question and scrambled answer. Contestants see the letters: SPOIVTHL. The question, "On the TV series M*A*S*H*, what is Major Houlihan's nickname?"

The answer is "Hot Lips." The extra letter is V. It drops into the selected space. Play continues.

Contestants collect points during the main game in order to build up seconds for the bonus round. The winner then moves to the bonus round. The bonus round is similar to the main game. There are no penalties in the bonus round for the player. The player guesses the question and the answer. There are no letters put into the answer during the bonus round.
