The Catholic church has had it's own share of accusations regarding sexual molestation of children and they were not alone. The charges brought down on an elderly man in late 2004 ended in the man's body being found just miles from his home and the daycare of his daughter on January 17th, 2005. The family was devastated and rumors flew around the neighborhood. Many residents didn't believe the man was guilty but when his body was found and the police ruled it a suicide, it made him look guilty in the eyes of the public.

The man had been accused of three counts of indecent conduct with three children in his daughter's daycare over a period of seven years. He was not told who is accusers were as their identities were protected because they were minors. The elderly man swore he was not guilty but felt after the media had finished broadcasting what they deemed his sins he had no way to prove his innocence. On a freezing cold winter morning while his family was sleeping the elderly man drove his van out into the snowy roads just a few miles from his home and there in the middle of the road around six in the morning a man walking his dogs found his body. Identification and insurance papers were laid out in the passenger seat Newly made out will was found in his inside shirt pocket made out the night before his body was found.
