Getting a free web site courtesy of Freewebs or Bravenet means accepting that advertising banners will be the first thing visitors to your site will see and you have no control over what products are advertised. Even if you choose to go with the free option, however, you can still produce a professional-looking site with the tools that both Freewebs and Bravenet offer. Moving up to a premium package is even better, of course.

Both Freewebs and Bravenet are designed to let you build a good-looking web site quickly and without needing to know complicated html or css code. This is accomplished through web design templates that, while offering little in the way of customizing their format, significantly speeds up the process by which you can add content. Freewebs is the winner here based on templates. Most of the designs that are available to paying customers are available to those on the free plan. Bravenet suffers greatly in comparison for two reasons. One, they simply don't offer much in the way of choice.
