The news of the assault on Juanita Bynum by her husband has sent shockwaves through the church. This 215lb man thought is was acceptable behavior to beat, kick, stomp, and choke his wife; a person that he claimed to love.

The comments that I have been reading on various sites seem to be mixed, and more concerned with how much money Bynum has. But then, people love it when people they think are "too good for their own good" are brought down through some kind of scandal.

This issue is clear; Bishop Thomas Weeks III did knowing and purposely try to kill his wife because he did not get his way. When she filed the divorce papers he said he was going to contest them. He has since changed his mind, but the fact that he had the audacity to say it shows the kind of man that he is.

Bynum was famous before marrying Weeks in 2002. For all intensive purposes, he needs her far more than she needs him. He was given a platform because of who she was. One might suspect that his beating was reflective of the jealousy that was in his heart. Black men can't handle successful women, and this is all too visual.

The thing that distresses me in this case is that he went to church the Sunday following his getting out of jail and his parishioners gave him a standing ovation. Are they crazy? No, they are deceived. When you follow a man instead of God, then you will follow him straight to hell with no question.

The other thing that is distressing is that Weeks said, the devil made him do it. How utterly juvenile is that? Anger and hatred in his heart caused him to try to kill his wife. If he were honest, there would be an admission of jealousy. This is not what a marriage is made of. It is supposed to be supportive.

Then we move into accusations that Weeks was abusive to other women, and had run up over $100,000 in debt. Further, he rented a 2.5 million dollar home that he owed $56, 000 on. When the eviction notice was served, they found that Weeks and his belongings were gone.

It saddens me how easy it is for people to overlook God's word when He tells us not to judge one another. We need to remember that the heart of mankind is deceitful and the mind of mankind is weak. Therefore we must not conform to the ways and actions of the world but we must walk in the transformation of the newness of our mind. I pray for you, Dr. Bynum that God will allow you to continue to be a voice for the nations, and I pray that Bishop Weeks will humble himself enough to admit his own weakness and not blame it on anyone or anything. I still believe in you, Juanita.

What kind of world are we living in when it is thought a victory when you physically assault the thing that you said, "God has given me!" I am appaulled at the Body of Christ and how they are handling this matter. What happen to the essence of accountability? I pray for them both but for him most. One report he admits that the devil made him do it, then he said that it was a setup and he wasn't guilty. I pray that whoever is right and whoever is wrong will not only be revealed but be brought to accountability. God is not dead and he is still on the throne. My biggest problem with this matter is how the "church" is making all kinds of assumptions about Juanita and whether or not she is who she claims she is. God is all of our judge. Juanita, I believe in you and your ministry. I pray for your strength in the lord as well as your husbands.

No man is without sin. We all have our faults, but it is very important be honest with God and ourselves. If we would shed light on the darkness in our heart and minds. It could not take over our souls. We think too highly of ourselves and less of God. Question: Who created the nessecesities of Life? Answer Not you nor me.

I thank god for the both of them. As saints we should not be trying to tear down, but to build up.We don't Know the hold purpose,So our thought is not like God and not even our ways,so the way we think God will do.He will turn around and do it another way.The battle is not theirs or ours it's the lord.Sometimes saints don't think things like this should happen, but we are human none of us is perfect and remember the way you'll are judging,The same way you'll will be judge. We Know the thief come to kill steal and destroy. And the battle are already won.

Things like these do not just happen, satan has done this.I have always seen a kind of special attack on those whom God has His special Hand upon.Blames will not solve this problem ;the church need to arise in anger. Our generals have been wounded. In all, forgiveness and humility is the Key.So both of them should move on in Christ who brought them together, for it is not over yet.

I can understand why Bishop Weeks felt that he could beat his wife and get away with it. All of you members have condoned his actions. Consequently you are no better than he is. How could you? And how could he show his face at church and receive a standing ovation for beating his wife. I guess you are doing this because of his parents. I can't think too much of them right now either. I feel that if you are wrong, you are wrong, child of mine or not. None of you are living up to what the bible and JESUS and the Bible commands. It is easy to say pray. That way you do not have to do anything about it.

has done. If I was him I would be ashamed to show my face. It just proves that he is an arrogant person, and is not the Godly man that he tries to present himself to be.

I'm sure God has forgiven Bishop Weeks. Bishop weeks still has to pay for his sins like the rest of us. He should sit down and let the Lord minister to his broken spirit.

I think you should let God do his business by himself, and do what is required of you, that is to pray for those who has trespassed against you and speak only what he has you to say and love your neighbor as you love yourself," come on saints, we can't let one man's mistake take our eyes off the prize, let God deal with weaks and prophtess I love you girl and I love weaks too but I follow God not man and since he's the judge and jesus is the lawyer, juanita and weeks this is your trial not mine how ever this plays out I got God back because he don't make mistakes.

Tis sad indeed. There is an underlining spirit behind this sad scenario, which I believe is the spirit of Jezebel. T. Pugh speaks of it in his autobiography, "A Step Into Deliverance." It is riveting and eye-opening, and the Body needs this kind of end-time insight. Once you read this book, you will pray more and judge less, for Jezebel is no respector of persons. Male or female--no one is exempt from her grasp.
