The Emmy Awards Drinking Game
Most awards shows usually end up being painfully dull, celebrity back patting affairs, so why not liven up this Sundays Emmy Awards Show by playing the drinking game I have devised for it. The game is best played with 5 or more people and the rules are very simple to follow. I am going to
list 10 items that when performed or shown onscreen will result in a shot being drunk. Each person selects, either by random drawing or some sort of pre-arranged draft, 2 of the items and the last person standing or remaining unsoiled at the end of the show is the winner. Here are the items to choose from but feel free to add your own as you think of them but please remember, always drink in moderation and for goodness sake don't drink and drive.
1. Paris Hilton is shown onscreen - You run the risk with this one that she may not actually be at the event but she seems to have been at every other awards show prior to this one, so I don't see why she won't be. See her and drink a shot.
2. Winner says, "I was just happy to be nominated", or "It was an honor to named with the other nominees". Take a shot.
3. Any reference by presenters or winners or anyone else on stage to political issues, domestic or foreign, results in a shot being taken.
4. Every time Ryan Seacrest changes outfits or mentions Simon Cowell, take a drink.
5. If a nominee fails to show up for the event, you must take a shot. They don't have to win, just be nominated and not in attendance. If you start to get a little fuzzy this should still be easy to recognize as their picture will not be moving when they show all the nominees picture in picture.
6. Every time a winner mentions "their Lord and savior Jesus Christ", or some other religious icon, it's time for a drink. Wine may be a suitable choice for this one.
7. every time a winner cries results in another drink being taken.
8. The award fist pump. This is when the winner holds the Emmy aloft and pumps it in the air. One drink for each pump. You can really rack up the booze here as this is a very common move.
9. If a presenter should flub their lines or forget that it's their turn to speak then you have to take a shot.
