Last season, fans of the Fox TV-show House, M.D. were shocked when three of its leading players, Chase [Jesse Spencer] and Cameron [Jennifer Morrison] quit unexpectedly weeks after Forman [Omar Epps] also turned in his resignation papers. After fans fretted over whether the actors were leaving the show, executive producer Katie Jacobs confirmed that not only were they not leaving, but, according to the Fall TV preview issue of Entertainment Weekly, will be joined with three new faces in the cast.

Jacobs states that Hugh Laurie's irascible "pill-popping" doctor with the bad bedside manner will be working alone in the first few episodes of the show's fourth season, but will be ordered to round up a new team. "We have 40 [candidates], and he's just going to keep firing people every episode until we get down to two by episode 8 or 9," notes Jacobs. This new team will eventually include Olivia Wade (The O.C.), Kal Penn (24), and Edi Gathegi (Lincoln Heights). Meanwhile, Chase will be working in surgery, Cameron is headed for the E.R., and Forman will return after a stint at a New York hospital. House's longsuffering colleagues Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) and Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) will also still be on board.
