Usually when I buy bath bombs from Lush, I buy only the big giant 6.3 ounce balls, only because I want more for my money. However when something catches my eye as neat, I will give the smaller bombs a try. I have used smaller 3.1 ounce bombs before, and usually they are glorious, and give off just as much ooey gooey delicious scent and moisturization as the larger bombs.
I have had my eye on one heart shaped bomb for quite some time now. The Tisty Tosty bath bomb.
On the www.Lush.com site it is a plain looking white heart shaped bomb. Clearly you are able to recognize the rose bud flowers that are stuck within the heart shaped little bomb. I myself am not too fond of things floating in my tub...especially foods; but seeing how this particular bomb came with flowers, it seemed okay.
When Tisty Tosty came to my door, I opened the box and was immediately greeted with a warm subtle hunt of rose. The smell was not granny like, nor was it overpowering. It was decent, but nothing to make me go ga ga. I figured though that once the bomb hit my bath water it would really wake up. Many of Lush's products wake up once the water hits them. The scent becomes stronger, and at times over bearing.
I ran my bath water, and got in. I then dropped the entire Tisty Tosty bomb into the tub. It began to fizz wildly, and it let off a lovely flower scent. It was rosy, but it also reminded me of something earthy, like evergreen. I liked it, I liked it a lot.
The more Tisty Tosty melted the more silky my bath water felt. The bomb though did not really color my water, it sort of left it a murky milk color, which I did not mind at all.
However I noticed that as the bomb wore off and fizzed out, so did it's flowery earthy scent. I was sort of disappointed, and hoped that at least my skin held some scent after getting out.
I soaked in the tub for a good 20 minutes, and even though the scent was gone, the silky feeling was not, so I enjoyed that for the time being. I enjoyed the rose buds and petals that floated around the tub. I knew cleaning them up afterward would be a pain though, but I tried not to over think it, because the thought of cleaning up, would totally of killed my relaxation buzz.
