Interview of Nicholas Ortiz, The World's strongest boy on September 11th,2007
Interviewer- Why try to set a world record at age 11?
Nicholas- I just thought maybe I could actually accomplish this awesome goal and be someone special
Interviewer-Where can your world record be found?
Nicholas- It can be viewed at www.worldrecordsacademy.org
Interviewer- How hard was it to lift that weight over your head?
Nicholas- It was very easy, I actually can lift up the front end of my mom's Kia spectra without hurting myself.
Interviewer-Do you train for this?
Nicholas- Not really I havent really tried, I am blessed with brute force lol.
Interviewer-On a more serious note, you listed WWE Chris Masters as a hero, he was again suspended for violating their wellness policy, what are your thoughts?
Nicholas-To me, what makes him my hero is not his personal issues but his skill in the ring, I dont like to judge people and appreciate they respect me in the same way. I have emailed with Chris and I do not really believe all they say about him, he is a cool guy.
Interviewer-How has your being diabetic affected you?
Nicholas- Well sometimes it affects me and makes me weak but other than that I am fine and feel fine.
Interviewer-What are your hobbies?
Nicholas- My hobbies are ventriloquism and wrestling
Interviewer- What are your plans and dreams for the future?
Nicholas-I would like to help with the Vent Haven Museum and to work for the WWE
Interviewer- Any other heroes?
Nicholas- My mom for all that she has been through and Sean Morley ( WWE 's Val Venis) for all of his awesome ideas and political views that are so cool
Interviewer-What is your message for other kids wanting to do something like this?
Nicholas-Do not give up, a dream is worth more than you think. Keep trying until you get it right!
After interviewing this tiny dynamo I am perplexed by how a child of such a young age could actually lift another person way above his head like that without any help and then manage to hold that position for such a long time, again with no help. Are we looking at the new World's strongest man? Is this a sign of things to come in the future?
