Online courses are self paced, I can take my time- Online courses are not self-paced, meaning the student needs to meet deadlines and turn work in a consistent manner, and although there is no direct attendance, teachers will monitor the student's activity in discussion boards and turning in assignments on time as a method of checking attendance. That means students can not procrastinate but remain very determined, studious, focused, and able to prioritize.

Students don't have to study a lot- students must study the same amount of hours when enrolled in online courses as they would if they were enrolled in courses on campus.

Employers won't accept degrees earned online- If your school is accredited, if it is a real legitimate school then you will have no problem getting that job, online courses are just as credible as courses taken in school and the fact that you took online classes will not show on your transcript. Regional accredited agency, Peple seem to scoff when others say they are going to school through distance learning perhaps because they believe it is fake, lazy, and does not require you to d omuch but ####

Going to school online is quicker- Not so, distance learning follows the same semester schedule as does the courses offered on campus, and students can not finish a course in advance, the student must start work on a certain date and finish it by a certain date each week until the conclusion of the semester.

Financial Aid won't pay for online courses- Not true, if you are legible for financial aid, and you are enrolled in a legitimate school that offers distance education then financial aid will help in the same manner as if a student was enrolled for courses on campus.

You can't communicate with the teacher- The professor of the online course always includes contact information such as office extension, office location, email, or number, and the teacher is usually pretty good at responding to inquiries.

The Professors will be cool if I miss an assignment or two- Wrong! Professors who teach online are just as strict as the Professors on campus, they establish deadlines and expect students to meet them.
