1. Record your transactions. Recording your transactions help you to know how much you have money you have in your savings account. It also helps you see where your money is going. It also allows you to see how much you have withdrawn each month along with how much you have put in each month. When recording transaction make sure to put addition signs and minus signs next to each transaction so you can keep track of it better.
2. Put more money in your savings account. Make sure to put more money into your savings account on a regular basis. If you get into the habit of saving more money each week or month then your savings account balance will grow more over the months. The more money you save then you more you are able to get and afford the things those luxury items that you want or need.
3. Have a goal. The most important part of a savings account is to have a goal. Goals are something that you work toward to accomplish each month. Make sure to also have a yearly goal. If you want to have a certain amount in your saving account by the end of the year then figure out how much money you would have to save each month.
4. Use interest to your advantage. If your savings account has a high interest then make sure to use it. The more money you put in there then your account balance grow even higher plus the interest that you receive from the bank. Interest is a precentage of money that the bank will give you depending upon how much you have in the savings account.
5. Monthly fees. Make sure to deduct from the transaction records that monthly fee that the bank charges you if you don't have the minimum balance in your savings account each month. Pay attention to the monthly fees.
