Top NFL Fantasy Football Running Backs to Pick-up

Do Your Fantasy Draft Players Not Look so Hot Anymore?

Kevin Jones

Jones is available in almost 30% of ESPN FFL's out there, mostly because he hasn't seen the field yet in 2007. While Jones is unlikely to play in week 2's game against Minnesota (a rough match-up anyway), but will probably be out there starting in week 3 against the
Eagles. KJ won't win your games right now, but he's a great back to stash on your bench right now because Detroit's offense will produce red-zone opportunities consistently this year.

Chris Brown

For all the clamor from Brown's 175 yards in week 1, he's still available in 20% of leagues out there. While the long-term value of Brown isn't in the top-10 or anything, his current value is enough to keep on your roster. Lendale White isn't in shape yet and until he proves a consistent option, Brown will get chances to post some good fantasy numbers over the next month. The Titans go against the Colts and Saints in the next two weeks (not exactly the Bears and Ravens), so the rushing attempts will be there as long as they can stay within 14 points.

Brandon Jackson/Vernand Morency

Jackson, a vogue "sleeper" this year and tabbed the starter in Green Bay early, is available in 12% of leagues. He by no means has a stranglehold on the job, which is where Morency comes into play. Morency is available in 30% of leagues and could be stepping into the #1 spot at any point if Jackson struggles or coughs up the ball a couple times early in a game. The Packers have some tough defenses upcoming (SD, CHI, MIN), but the Giants in week 2 are a fantasy honey pot. Any starting running back in the NFL is valuable in fantasy football, so stockpiling Morency isn't a bad thing for any owner.
