NBC has a rather unique television show premiering on Monday, September 24th at 8:00 p.m. that is simply titled "Chuck". It is a cross between a comedy, drama and action series. Let's see what viewers will have to look forward to.

This one hour quirky show revolves around the life of Chuck Bartowski, a twenty-something computer geek or shall I saw nerd who works for the fictitious electronics store, Buy More as a computer specialist who are referred to as the Nerd Herd. I wonder where they came up with that idea? This sounds strangely familiar because Best Buy has what they call a Geek Squad that basically does the same job.

Anyhow, Chuck finds himself in a mess of trouble when he receives a mysterious email from an old college roommate by the name of Bryce Larkin. He opens the email and unknowingly downloads all of the government's secrets into his brain. Oops?

The Central Intelligence Agency along with the National Security Agency would like the data back so then enlist Sarah Walker and Major John Casey for the job.

How will Chuck deal with terrorists and assassins now after him all the while keeping this a secret from family and friends? Not to mention he still has to find time for the Nerd Herd along with a possibly newly sparked social life, thanks to the beautiful Sarah Walker.

NBC is trying to generate as much buzz as possible for "Chuck". NBC has so much faith in this series that they have sent out pilot promos to various retailers. Blockbuster Video has been offering a free rental of it while Circuit City is making the pilot available at no cost as long as you purchase a television show on DVD. Amazon's Unbox has the "Chuck" pilot available for a free download and no purchase is required here.

"Chuck" stars Zachary Levi ("Less Than Perfect"), Adam Baldwin ("Firefly"), Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez ("Without A Trace") and Sarah Lancaster ("What About Brian"). The series is executive produced by Josh Schwartz who brought viewers "The O.C." and is also executive produced and directed by McG ("Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and "We Are Marshall").
