Dirty Sexy Money: A Soapy Affair with an Updated Twist from ABC TV

There are some interesting shows starting soon on TV....a few I know I want to see and a few I'm not too sure of..

One of those is Dirty Sexy Money...With a title like that you just have to take notice and I've read quite a few reviewers who have really liked the show and others who haven't.

Basically it's about a modern day family with lots of money, the name itself is somewhat provocative in nature and I imagine a bit like the older series of that genre, Dynasty and Dallas, though updated a bit...

The story revolves around an idealistic lawyer, Nick George, (Peter Krause, formally the lead in the show, Six feet Under)...He suddenly finds himself the attorney for the filthy rich, troublemaking, Darling Family, after his father, Dutch, dies in an airplane crash and Nick takes over this famous New York family as his clients....they had been represented by Dutch before his demise..What an inheritance this is going to be!

Now this is not going to be a picnic for Nick...there will be dirty deals you can be sure, with plenty of pretty girls and handsome men and, I've read, they will be in many various stages of dress and undress

This show is created by Craig Wright and Greg Berlanti, who had worked together in the production of Brothers and Sisters....a bit soapy, but it is speculated that Dirty Sexy Money will be a "guilty pleasure" for many on Wednesday night prime time.

Some big names are involved: Jill Claybough, as the matriarch, Letetia Darling, who is overcome by the death of Dutch and was secretly carrying on an affair with him...boy, with a name like that, how could you expect anything but a juicy role for Jill.

Donald Sutherland, the patriarch, Tripp Darling, who wants Nick to follow in his father's footsteps but Nick wants to do things a bit differently it seems. But will Tripp be happy with that, somehow I doubt it.

William Baldwin, Patrick Darling, the political star of this clan who is, gasp, cheating on his wife with a transsexual!

I watched it last night and was surprised at how it caught my attention..the cast was great and Sutherland was just fantastic with a mischievous glimmer in his eye like when he was a young man...I definitely will continue watching, I just hope when Lost comes back that they aren't on at the same time...
