Cyber charter homeschooling is one of the many ways to homeschool your child. It is nothing like the traditional homeschooling option where the parent is the teacher and runs the show, so to speak. Cyber charter is a way to homeschool without being the teacher. In a cyber charter school, the student takes online, live classes on certain days of the week. There is an actual teacher and actual students in the class. The students can talk to the teacher through a microphone on the headset. Classes are generally only three days a week for many grades. The other days of the week are for doing homework and projects as well as extra curricular activities.

The cyber school also supplies everything needed. They give you the computer, the printer, books, art supplies, headset, ink and any other things that are necessary for classes. They even pay for your internet connection and reimburse for a physical education class. They provide any necessary support as well. If your child is having trouble with a subject, they have tutors available to help.

There are special guidance counselors that can help with any problems you have and they do check in quite a bit as well. If you have computer difficulties, their is tech support to help out and they are fast. They can download programs and fix your computer problems from their office.

Socialization is not an issue as far as I am concerned. I feel that there is more time to socialize in a cyber charter school than in a regular school. The students can chat amongst themselves before and after class and in some classes, the teacher splits the class into groups and each group works together doing the assignment, just like in regular school. There is more time for extra curricular activities as well and thus more socializing. The cyber school also has outside meeting activities like picnics and field trips. This way, the kids can meet and make friends and the parents can talk to other adults.
