My family and I lived in the apartments up above Pizza on Wheels for over a year. It was awesome! The smell is to die for, the pizza is just as good and their salads are great! You'll love their "secret recipe sauce" on the pizza, they make their own Ranch dressing and every pizza is hand made the minute you call and order. Their Chef Salad is absolutely delicious! It's a small shop with only a few tables for dining in. If you prefer to pick up your order, the beach is only 2 blocks away for a picnic spread, there's also a family park with a couple of benches (go back to the first red light and turn behind Chu's convenience store, it's down the road on the right) or you can head across the island to the pier. It's beautiful down there but be sure you take plenty of change for the meter. Tybee takes parking violations pretty seriously and you could get charged $7-15 for not "feeding the meter". After all, it's those fees that help hire more employees to keep the streets clean!

If you order delivery, be sure to give the boys a nice fat tip. They're all great guys down there! (Hi Yan, Hi Jon)

Dropping our name at Pizza on Wheels likely won't get you any discounts but feel free to tell them that John, Keisha, Thor and Noah said HELLO!

Where would I find such a wonderful place?103 Jones Avenue

The shop isn't always open.
Posted hours are: Wednesday through Monday 4pm - till whenever (usually only taking Tuesdays off)

It never hurts to give them a quick call first. Plus free delivery anywhere on Tybee!!!

If you've ever been to Tybee you know all about "Tybee Time". For those of you first timers, "Tybee Time" is what they call it when you have on/off season hours while on Tybee Island. Everyone is relaxed and easy going. Hours are not always posted and are considered negotiable. Some shop owners on Tybee arrive to work a few minutes late, sporting sandy flip-flops and smelling of a long morning on the beach. Everyone's friendly and love to meet new folks. There's also a bar Tybee named after this popular "time".

I only noticed this comment today (6 months later). I have to say I find it funny! You can't try something one time and say the owner is as bad as the pizza you tried. LOL We don't know who made the pizza you tried, or if it was the way it was intended. My secret, sometimes I try to make mac and cheese better by throwing in a seasoning or two more. Sometimes, it sucks. From your comment I can only surmise that I suck as a human being for making my family mac and cheese that wasn't the way I intended it just that one time. LOL Wow! I'm enlightened! LOL Thanks for the laugh though. :p
