Door County, Wisconsin is a popular Midwestern getaway located in what, on a map, looks like the thumb of Wisconsin. The popular vacation getaway destination is a beautiful fall getaway. Door County is a great destination anytime. There are some fall festivities that make a visit to Door county entertaining, as well as scenic.

Door County Trolley Lighthouse Tour
Through 10/31
The "Old Time" trolley will pick you up and navigate you to the most treasured lighthouses in the peninsula. The troll will visit lighthouses including: Eagle Bluff, Cana Island, Range Lights and Canal Station. There are two pickup location: Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Ban ad Orchard Country Winery in Fish Creek. $49 + tax per person. 920-868-1100.

Ghost Tours of Door Country

Through 10/31
Unique "fright-filled" tour, especially appropriate as Halloween approaches. The "trolley of the doomed" share tales of ghostly sunken ships, lighthouses and mysterious happenings in the peninsula. Nightly in October. Adults $18 + tax, Children $14 + tax. 920-868-1100.

Gills Rock Entertainment Tour
September 28-30
Gills Rock is on the northern tip of Door County. The artists on the Peninsula band together to launch the 1st Annual Gills Rock Entertainment Arts Tour. There are five destination stops, withing minutes from each other, showcasing rural arts. On the route are Renaissance Gallery & Studio, Hephaestur Foundry & Forge, Charlene's Gallery Ten, Bentley of Door County and Silver Poplar Studios.
