Living in an apartment community or walking a dog in public places presents a challenge for those who are considerate enough to clean up after their dogs. No one wants to step in dog poop, and it's always important to clean up after your dog when walking him in public places. There are easy ways to clean up after your dog in public places, and the following easy ways will making scooping dog poop faster and easier than ever before.

Handle Bags

I live in an apartment community, and many people have dogs, including my family. Everyone is expected to pick up after their dogs when beyond their own private fenced-in area, and most people I see walking their dogs in public places within the apartment community carry handle bags. When their dogs poop in public they simply place their hand inside the bag, pick up the poop, turn it inside out, tie a knot in the bag, and carry it until it can be properly disposed of.

With the poor condition of many used handle bags, use caution when choosing a bag. The last thing you want to do is stick your hand in a bag with holes along the seams. Recycle handle bags in bad condition, and save the others to clean up after your dog when walking in public places. Otherwise, consider one of the other easy ways.

Diaper Disposal Bags

When my kids were in diapers I carried diaper disposal bags at all times. They were handy for carrying dirty diapers, and they were also great for many other uses. If your used handle bags are usually riddled with rips and holes, buy a box of diaper disposal bags to clean up after your dog when you walk him or her in public places. These inexpensive bags are strong, scented, easy to secure, and they're wonderful when it becomes necessary to clean up after a dog in public places.

This article is such a good example of what it means to be a responsible dog owner. No child or adult should have to accidentally step in dog mess. But by following this advice, going out can be a more pleasant event for everyone. Sophie
