Of course, we'd never mock you, Dear.
We're laughing with, not at, you.
Your reputation, we'd not smear,
We don't mean to combat you.

We dare not focus on your face;
It doesn't carry humor.
Your personality, is about as
Funny as a tumor.

We just want you to lighten up
And try to find some laughter.
You only seem to tighten up,
And that's not what we're after.

It isn't always gloom and doom,
So why not try your smile?
You may find it lights up a room,
And folks may stay awhile.
