House Returns for Fourth Season on September 25th
What to Look Forward to in the Fourth Season
The new season leaves House in a dilemma. Season three ended surprisingly with House's entire trio of expert doctors quitting or being fired. How can House survive without Dr. Foreman around to crack a jock at, Dr. Chase to ridicule, and Cameron as a love interest? Well, simply put, House will survive the same way he always does, by being House. His expert diagnosis and sarcastic demeanor will simply find a new lightening rod.
In the premiere episode, titled Alone, House will have to work fast to save a young woman who had been in a building collapse. House's patient, Megan, can only communicate through blinking. Without his team, House talks his ideas out with the hospital's janitor and while working alone begins to realize that the case is not what it seems and "solitude may not be the answer."
Following House's realization that he needs a team, the rest of the first half of Season 4 will involve a survivor-esque style. In the season's second episode, The Right Stuff, Dr. House begins his search for a new team by picking 40 applicants and giving them each numbers, which they wear on bibs. A pilot approaches House, asking for him to secretly treat her, because she suffers from neurological disorder and knows NASA would not select her if they found out. House takes the case, giving it to his 40 applicants to see who can succeed. House imagines seeing Foreman, Chase and Cameron in the halls.
