Is Moonlight the answer for those who are jonesing for Angel and Buffy? I sure think so.

Are you tired of watching your Angel and Buffy DVD's over and over again? Can't stand Kristy Swanson as Buffy ( I know I sure can' t ) Do you need to see more gorgeous vamps on your TV screen? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then check out Moonlight, the new series on CBS which premiers on Friday, Sept 28th at 9pm right after Ghost Whisper. The show is being produced by none other than David Greenwalt, who also was co-creator of Angel. Those of us who are itching for a great Vampire show, those of us who were so depressed after the way we lost our beloved Buffy, Spike, Angel and the rest might be in for the biggest treat of our lives in Moonlight.

The premise is almost the same in Moonlight as it was in Angel, a Vampire Detective who has to save the good and fight evil. The biggest difference is that Mick St. Johns Sire, while also a woman as in Angel, is not a hate filled blood seeking Vamp, she sired him after falling in love with him.
Mick is not happy that she lied to him when they married but now has the same problem as his sire did, he fell in love with a mortal. His problem, tell her what he is or suffer in silence with his love unmet?

His love interest is a reporter whose venue is on line writing of the strange doings in the city. This is where the similarities between Moonlight and Angel part ways, and this is a great thing. First major difference, Angel could not find true happiness both because of his pesky problem of going insane and becoming Angelus, and two because every time he and Cordy or he and Buffy neared that point of finding perfect bliss, some monster or hell released prophesy would get between them.

Takeaways

Moonlight is on the the best shows on TV this year. Cancelling this will make me and millions of others very unhappy. I can't wait for Fridays to come, just to watch this show. Bad mistake if u cancel this. I didn't see it on the fall schedule, and this makes me very upset. K
