You Can See Toys and Dolls from 1700 to the Present - Including Disney Characters and Shirley Temple

Are you a kid at heart? Do you have children, and you wish there was a museum just for them? If you answered yes to either question, you might want to visit Museum of Childhood at Bluebird farm in Carrolltown, Ohio,
 where you and your children can see countless toys from 1700 to the present and have to pay only $2 each for admission. The museum is open from April to December from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Ann dolls hey have been popular through the years, and they are still popular. The museum has them. The museum also has Shirley Temple and Mickey and Minnie Mouse toys and toys representing all the Disney characters from the 1930's.

You can enter your own fantasy world at Susie's Museum of Childhood, as you view toy china sets, antique dollhouses, doll-sized kitchens, and a detailed circus that is filled with Steiff and Schoenhut circus pieces.

A trunk dated November 8, 1864 contains a French Fashion doll and her original clothing and accessories. The official website for the museum describes the collection as beautiful. Another attraction is a Tete Jumeau Bebe and a DEP, which was manufactured in Germany for those in France.

Another attraction at Susie's Museum of Childhood is an original collection of Kestner dolls, which one family owned for years. The Kestner Company is based in Germany and is famous for producing dolls of excellent quality. The dolls have outfits and accessories that are eye-catching. Some people particularily notice the dolls' dollies.

The China Dolls, which were made primarily in the 1840's to the 1920's and were particularily known for their hairdos. Dolls in the collection that are unusual are an Alice in Wonderland, a Currier and Ives, and a Biedermeier (a solid dome head with a wig).

There are also collections of wax dolls and Papier-Mâchè dolls. The wax dolls started in England in the early to mid-1800's. They were introduced in Germany in about 1851. The Papier-Mâchè dolls have been manufactured since about 1810 by German and American manufacturers.

I collect dolls to I make some of them I redress used dolls I write book using dolls as characters instead of people . I have over 100 dolls I borrow from one and give to the other . I am 60 years young and still have a doll I got when I was 7 years old .
