"Mad Men" on AMC TV! Too Much Cigarette Smoke!

Almost every scene in this new AMC tv show has everyone smoking cigarettes! People did smoke a lot during this time period, but NOT this much. Sometimes, you can hardly see the actors face for all the smoke. Which is probably one of the reasons why modern day movies and tv shows Do Not allow cigarette smoking. If any at all.

"Mad Men" does have the clothes, the office furniture, and most of the executives behavior perfect! Especially when it comes to women. Unfortunately, during this time period in American history women were NOT treated as equals, as far as being able to climb up the "Ladder" into a higher position. Men expected female workers to just do their jobs and keep their mouths shut!

These "Mad Men" smoke and drink continuously during this show, which was pretty much the way American society was back during the early sixties. I just personally think they should "cut out" some of the cigarette smoking! This is really annoying! I personally smoke cigarettes myself, but would not use this much smoke in almost every scene. "Come on you guy's, don't you think your over doing it a bit?"

Most of the ventilation systems in these offices were not that good during the early sixties. If these people smoked this much as shown of this tv show in these offices, "It would look like the building was on fire!" from outside. However, night clubs did have this much smoke at this time period, and most of the time you could hardly breathe in these places, because it was so smokey! A lot of these night clubs would have to open their doors on Friday and Saturday nights just to bring in fresh air so everyone could breathe.

Hopefully, the directors and producers of this AMC tv show may read this article, and decide to leave out a lot of the cigarette smoke in future episodes! I personally like this tv show and most likely will continue watching this show each week on AMC.
