Prison Break Has Returned One Too Many Times

The return of Prison Break has been a show that many have been waiting for with a bit of hesitation, for it seems that Michael Scofield and his band of ex-cons have pretty much run the gamut of of excitement. How much more can actually happen for it to seem the least bit believable?

The premise of the show has always been a good one. Michael Scofield commits a crime so that he can be arrested and put into the same prison where his brother, Lincoln Burrows, is incarcerated. He does this for the express purpose of helping his brother escape. Michael has the blueprint of the prison tatooed on his body, and was one of the people who designed the prison. Not only is his brother incarcerated, but he is on death row, and he is sentenced to die soon. While in prison, Michael befriends and enlists the help of a few other cons. Some he deems as trustworthy, and some he choses because he has no choice. They make plans to break out in time to save Lincoln from death row. Needless to say, none of their plan goes smoothly. In the midst of the planning is a government cover-up that goes all the way to the United States presidency and beyond. The situation is much bigger than Michael had even imagined, but he is determined to prove his brother's innocence. Throw a love affair with the drug addicted prison doctor into the mix, and you have the perfect ingredients for the perfect escape.

Last season we were left on the edge of our seats as Michael and some of his "friends" were locked up in a prison in Panama. His brother managed to escape incarceration, however. Knowing that this season was going to begin with more prison was a bit disappointing to many because it brings about visions of more prison drama, and there is only so far that can go.
