Journeyman

Fall TV

Journeyman, an updated version of Quantum Leap, is slated to premiere on NBC on September 24, 2007 at 10 p.m. Eastern. The series stars Kevin McKidd, whom you may remember from Trainspotting, as Dan Vasser, a reporter and family man based in
San Francisco who travels through time changing past events. In one preview online see at Yahoo, Dan explains to his wife that he went to sleep and woke up 20 years in the past, that he thought he was having a vivid dream. She, meanwhile, is angry at him because he has been gone for two days without a single phone call. Dan doesn't understand what is happening to him and his wife doesn't believe him when he tells her where he has been. One second Dan is in the past, the next he is back in the future with his wife and son. When he returns, he tries to explain that he has been to the past, and no one believes him. They think he is crazy, on drugs or in need of medical attention!

Complicating matters, Dan's brother appears to have had a past with Dan's wife, Katie. Dan's sudden disappearances are causing marital problems and his wife turns to his brother for help. When his brother the cop begins questioning him about his disappearances, Dan says, "Hey, this may work out great for you..." There is obvious tension between the two men over Katie. The problems caused by Dan's disappearances cause Katie to turn to his brother for comfort and support, causing Dan to fear that he will eventually lose his wife to his brother.

Imagine waking up and going into your own house only to be greeted by the ball bat wielding previous owner twenty years in the past ready to take your head off for being in his house! This is just one of the crosses that Dan must bear.
